The AIRE Program is open to any 4-H Youth, ages 11-18, looking for the opportunity to gain experience in the Application, Interview, Resume and Essay process. The application packet is due to the Macon County 4-H office by May 11th. You can pick up an application packet at the Extension office or you can download it at http://www.nc4h.org/youth/arie.

The 4-H Staff will assist you in preparing your application, resume and essay in order to go through the interview, which is during State 4-H Congress – July 28-31. If you are selected, it could mean a trip to National 4-H Congress, National 4-H Conference or the International Leadership Conference.

If you are ages 11-13 you can take part in a non-competitive program and 4-Hers between ages 14-18 complete for awards to National 4-H trips. Even if you are under 13, it is great to start the process early so that you can be strongly competitive from ages 14-18. Please let us know if we can help you prepare for this great opportunity.

2017 AIRE application are due to the Cooperative Extension Office by Wednesday, May 11th.
