The key to eating well is to enjoy a variety of nutritious foods from each of the Five Food Groups. The five food groups are:
- Vegetables and legumes/beans
- Grain (cereal) foods, mostly wholegrain and/or high cereal fiber varieties
- Lean meats and poultry, fish, eggs, tofu, nuts and seeds and legumes/beans
- Milk, yogurt cheese and/or alternatives, mostly reduced fat
Today’s recipe of the day has food from all five food groups.
