Homemade Croutons made from Stale Bread
Homemade croutons are a great way to extend the life of bread that is beginning to go stale.
Cut the bread into bite-size squares, toss with olive oil and spices (garlic powder, onion powder, and basil are good options) and bake at 375℉ until crispy (about 10 minutes).
Use your homemade croutons to garnish salads, soups, cooked vegetables, or eat them on their own as a snack.
You could also blend them to make your own homemade whole wheat bread crumbs!
