Above Average Hay Resources

With the increasing number of small dairies in WNC the emphasis on purchasing high quality hay with a complete analysis is growing. Though the need is growing, finding these hay resources that test their hay is another matter. This list is NOT all encompassing but does give dairy producers and other livestock producers of WNC a place to begin searching for hay that has been tested.

Why Do We Want to Purchase Hay That has Been Tested?

Hay may look and smell “good,” but it is important to have a more detailed description of what the hay will provide to livestock. To figure this out, it is encouraged to purchase hay that has had a forage sample taken for analysis. This will allow you to say with confidence what nutrients the hay will provide your livestock.

Resources

**This is not an all-encompassing list of high-quality hay that has a complete analysis available in WNC – if you would like to be added to the list please email or call Rebecca Bradley.**
