Croatan 4-H Horse Club Riders Head to State Show

Four youth, representing Croatan 4-H Horse Club of Carteret County, will move on to the NC 4-H State Horse Show in July. The show will be held at the Governor James B. Hunt, Jr. Horse Complex in Raleigh, July 7–11, 2021. To participate in the state show, youth must qualify at one of the regional qualifying shows. Croatan 4-H Horse Club riders participated in the 2021 East 4-H Qualifying Horse Show, April 30–May 2. The show was held at the Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center in Williamston, NC.

4-H’ers moving onto the NC 4-H State Horse Show are Lexi English, Jessica Hines, Delaney Meadows, and Morgan Potter.

Collins Corey, a cloverbud, also participated in the East 4-H Qualifying Horse Show. Due to their age, cloverbuds do not show at the State Show, but can gain experience through the Qualifying Shows.
