Selling any kind of crop today has become so complicated in all that is required to sell in varying markets. It is important to know as many of the variables as possible to reduce your risk as a farmer. This short lecture will give an overview of what you will need when selling to clients in the various wholesale and direct market channels.Topics we will cover include: Wholesale/Retail Requirements, GAP and Organic Certification, Food Safety Modernization Act Requirements, How to Maximize Benefits with FSA e.g., Cost Share Programs, along with time for Q & A and various other topics such as insurance and liabilities.
