Gardening Basics 101 Seminar
The N.C. Cooperative Extension Service will be holding a freeGardening Basics 101 Seminar on Wednesday March 18th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Macon Extension Center located on 193Thomas Heights Rd. Franklin NC.
This seminar is geared for those new to gardening ordesiring to brush up on the basics. Participants will learn about siteselection and preparation, proper soil and plant fertility needs, spacing, croprotation, cultivars and the differences between cool and warm seasonvegetables. Finally, we will lightly discuss the most common disease, insectand weed problems and their potential control options.
