Pesticide Disposal Day
The N.C. Cooperative Extension Service in cooperation with the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Macon County Solid Waste, will coordinate a pesticide collection day on Tuesday March 31st from 10:00a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Environmental Resource Center located at 1624 Lakeside Dr. Franklin N.C.
Pesticides that will be accepted include the following: insecticides, herbicides, fungicides,fumigants, rodenticides and growth regulators. In addition, the pesticide must be in the original container and clearly labeled. Other hazardous materials, such as paint, antifreeze, solvents, fertilizers, etc. will not be accepted at this collection day. Don't miss this great opportunity to get rid of your unwanted dusty old pesticides!
