Pressure Canning - Green Beans

Who doesn’t love having green beans that taste summer fresh in the winter?  If you want this luxury and don’t know how to Pressure Can Green Beans, then this class is for you!  Join Kim Terrell, Extension Agent, Family & Consumer Sciences at N.C. Cooperative Extension, Macon County Center for a Beginner Pressure Canning class on Canning Green beans.  You have two classes to choose from.  The first class will be Thursday, July 20, 5:30-7:30 PM and Friday, August 4, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.  Choose one of these dates to come learn.  At the end of this class, you will have your very own jar of pressure canned green beans and knowledge of pressure canning!  The class will be located at 193 Thomas Heights Rd., Franklin.  Cost of the class is $20.00 per person and you pay at the class.  Pre-registration is required, class size is limited so register early.
