Upcoming Forestry Management Workshop

The N.C. Cooperative Extension Service will be holding a free Forestry Management Workshop for Land Owners and Certified Foresters. This program will he held on Thursday August 4th from 8:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. at the Macon Extension Center located on 193 Thomas Heights Rd. Franklin NC 28734.

This workshop will cover a whorl of topics such as the latest insects and diseases and others forestry health issues, the timber market, financial incentives, and herbicide selections and applications for weed control.  Participants will be able to learn from top notch speakers from NC State such as Dr. Kelly Oten, NCSU Assistant Professor and Extension Forestry Specialist,  Dr. Rajan Parajuli, NCSU Assistant Professor,  Dr. Bob Bardon, NCSU Associate Dean, and Colby Lambert, Area Specialized Forestry Agent.

Attendees will be able to acquire 3.5 certified forestry education (CFE’s) credits and 2 pesticide credits in the G,L,N,D, & X categories from NCDA & CS.
