Beginning Beekeeping Classes

Are you interested in raising honey bees? Want to know what it takes and how to do it? This is the basic course for beginner beekeepers or for anyone wanting
to learn about keeping bees. We will cover the hive components, how to
install bees in a hive and what to do next. If needed you will have the opportunity to be set up with a mentor. Members of the Macon County Beekeepers club are here to help all year!

COST: $75 (class size limited to 10 people per class)
Includes both days of class and the book. It also covers the membership
dues for the year.

DATES:
CLASS 1: Saturday, March 13th & 20th, from 8 a.m.-3ish each day
CLASS 2: Saturday, April 10th & 17th, from 8 a.m.-3ish each day

LOCATION:
Riverbirch Bees Apiary
854 Thompson Rd.
Franklin, NC 28734
Thompson Road is just off Sanderstown Road

Students will be seated in an outdoor covered area, separated as per Covid mandates. There will be a porta-potty on site with a wash station.
NO food will be provided.
