The N.C. Cooperative Extension Service will be holding a free seminar on how to start and grow your own grapevines. This event will be held online Monday, March 8th from 6–7 p.m. via Zoom.

The seminar is geared for those new to growing grapes or desiring to learn the basics of how to maintain your grapevines. Participants will learn about site selection and preparation, proper soil and plant fertility needs, spacing, trellising, weed control, choosing the right cultivars, pruning, harvesting, and more. Finally, we will discuss the most common disease and insect problems and their possible control options.
