Collapse ▲Are you interested in becoming a Beekeeper? Macon County Beekeepers Association will hold their annual Bee School, with two days in the classroom and one day at a local bee yard.
The classes will be held Saturday, February 21 and Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Macon County Center, 193 Thomas Heights Rd., Franklin. The Apiary visit will be Saturday, March 21.
The cost to participate in the Bee School is $50.00, this includes a book, and Bee Club dues for the year, a $25.00 (non refundable) fee is required to sign up for the class, and that will go toward your $50.00 cost of the class. Class space is limited to 50 students.
